"Rāṇā" is a Sindhi rāg, and a great favorite among the Surnaiya Langas. The song that is played here, “āvo rāna raho rāt," is from the famous romance "Moomal Mahendra," where Moomal is asking her lover Mahendra, often referred to as "Rana," to come and spend the night with her. The rāg "Rāṇā" is associated with this story, and is also referred to as rāg "Rāṇā Moomal."
