The September edition of our monthly series People’s Picks features a children’s music playlist curated by Stefan Shepherd of the acclaimed “kindie rock” site Zooglobble. Shepherd has written about “music you and your family can sing, dance, and groove to” for over a decade and is the go-to children’s music reviewer for NPR All Things Considered. In 2009 he contributed an essay for the liner notes of the Sarah Lee Guthrie & Family Smithsonian Folkways release Go Waggaloo. For People’s Picks, Shepherd compiled a family-jam-able selection of his favorite Smithsonian Folkways songs, ranging from classic sing-a-longs to new lullabies.
