Exhibition Events

The exhibition of Folkways Cover Art was held in the Fine Arts Building Gallery at the University of Alberta from November 22 through December 17, 2005. In addition to the physical exhibition, several complimentary events were hosted.

The Opening Address
Wednesday November 30, 2005, 7:00 pm, Studio 27, Fine Arts Building. Special guest Dr. Anthony Seeger delivered the presentation Images for the Ear: The Multimedia Achievement of Folkways Records. Dr. Seeger was the Founding Director of Smithsonian Folkways Recordings in Washington DC, serving in that capacity from 1988 to 2000. He is currently Professor of Ethnomusicology and Director of the Ethnomusicology Archive at the University of California, Los Angeles.
