Ngalanga dance: Chitsope movement

Group of men and women of Cabo Gulula, Regulo Chilundo
Younger people sing and dance the ngalanga on happy occasions, especially as an informal dance in the evenings. Unlike the ngodo (a man's dance), it is danced by members of either sex, especially those too young to participate in the ngodo. The chitsope is a wild energetic dance. Three xylophones, three drums, and one rattle provide the accompaniment.
