Hymn, topical, and dance songs from the Bemba-speaking people of Zambia
Collector Hugh Tracey recorded Bemba-speaking groups at several Zambian mining compounds in 1957. The music includes religious hymns as well as entertaining songs, some accompanied by guitar. The groups came from various locations around Zambia, known then as Northern Rhodesia.
