In 1955, Hugh Tracey recorded this Zulu music among the people of Chief Buthelezi, Mhlabatini District, Natal, South Africa. Included are love songs, walking songs accompanied by the musical bow as well as dance and songs and a herding tune played on flute (Tracey 1973).
