"Ghoomar" is a devotional song genre as well as a dance of the Rajput of Rajasthan. The Ghoomar, consisting of varying lyrical compositions often addressed to deities, always has the same melody.

This ghoomar has the common refrain, “I am going to 'play' the ghoomar.” The song is about a girl asking her mother to marry her to a man of the Rathor clan as she likes their speech, their manners, their company, and even the way they tie their turbans. According to some this is a ghoomar that speaks for Rani Bhatiyani (a Rajput queen who is worshiped as a deity) since she was married into the Rathor clan.
