A Water Over Stone
Gordon Bok, Ann Mayo Muir, Ed Trickett
Made up mostly of traditional songs, this is the third release from the trio of Gordon Bok, Ann Muir, and Ed Trickett. Alongside three of Bok's originals, this record presents songs from Canada to Appalachia, and the Caribbean to the British Isles. In addition to 6 and 12 string guitar, harp, flute and hammer dulcimer, three unique instruments are also heard on this record: the "bockwhistle" (a low-range fipple flute) and the "cellamba" (a six-string fretted cello) are played by Bok, while the "bell" (a bell-shaped miniature 12-string guitar) is played by Muir.
