This Hawaiian mele pule (prayer chant) is a prayer specifically to Laka, goddess of the hula, for removing all hindrances (pule pale). It is performed in the oli style, which is text recited without instrumental accompaniment or dance, by Brenda Lehua Hulihe'e (b. 1949), who is a student of John Kaha'i Topolinski.
