Greek Songs and Dances

Greek folk dances bring villages together in celebration of harvests, and religious and secular holidays. Dances are performed in a variety of time signatures with many dances dating back to antiquity. In this recording, percussionist Chris Kalogerson leads a musical quartet composed of clarinet, bouzoukee, accordion, and drums. The ensemble is joined by singers on four songs.
