Ella Jenkins
Rhythm and Game Songs for the Little Ones In her 1964 album Rhythm and Game Songs for the Little Ones, Ella Jenkins teaches lessons in keeping time, incorporating suggested physical activities and accompanying games. Ella chose to record this album at the Lake Meadows Nursery School in Chicago because of its racial and demographic diversity. Across these recordings, 24 four- and five-year-old students join Ella in rhythm and song. Recommended for ages 2–4.
