Greta Keller Sings Love is a Daydream and other Songs by Yulya

Cabaret singer and actress Greta Keller performs a dozen of Russian composer and singer Yulya’s (American name Julie Whitney) songs in this tribute recording. Keller, called “The Great Lady of Chanson” in her native Vienna, had begun to include Yulya’s songs in her repertoire prior to Yulya’s untimely death in 1965. Keller’s interpretation of Yulya’s songs is much in keeping with the composer’s own artistic approach and mood. For this recording Keller is accompanied by an orchestra lead by Gershon Kingsley.
