Nine Lunda men sing this ceremonial farewell from Katanga Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. It is accompanied by a struck bottle, two litswakaie basket rattles and a hand-beaten box drum. The drummer sits on top of the drum, using the heels of his feet to alter the pitch. A single singer leads with a line of text and is then joined by a chorus of harmonized voices.
