A group of young Ngqika men from Nontshinga Location, Eastern Cape Province, in the Transkei region of South Africa, sing this walking song on their way to a mtshosho dance. Amakwenkwe are young men are under the approximate age of 18-20 years. They are so called before they have been initiated and achieved into full manhood. One young man leads the song and the others respond.
