Speechphone Spoken Word List

In 1959, Folkways Records released a series of four spoken-word recordings developed by speech specialist Hazel P. Brown to help speakers correctly pronounce words in the English language. In this final recording of the series, Brown lists 3,000 words which are frequently mispronounced or are likely to be confusing because of various spellings and pronunciations.
