Ville Tayambaka (Temple music played on Ville)
The ville is one of the oldest instrument and now rarely used in Kerala. It was used for solo percussion performances and to accompany various Kerala singing styles. Its origin goes back to tribal communities of Kerala.
The rhythm cycles are the same as in Edaykka and Chenda Tayambaka. For the Kooru (the middle part of any Tayambaka) the rhythm selected by the performer is Atantha Kooru.
