"Eia o Kalani Kamanomano" is a chant dedicated to an ancestral turtle god and belonging to the Luahine family of Koloa, Kaua’i. The performance by Keahi Luahine (1877-1937) was recorded in 1933 by Kenneth Emory onto a Dictaphone wax cylinder, and rerecorded by him onto magnetic tape in 1951.
