'Ūlei pahu i ka moku
This mele hula pahu (dance chant), performed by Kwena Pukui in 1935, is prophetic of the coming of foreigners to Hawai'i and of their overwhelming influence on the Hawaiian. The pahu and puniu drumbeat pattern is similar to the one used in the Kaua'i version of the chant "Kaulīlua".
