Fast Folk Musical Magazine (May 1984, Vol. 1, No. 5)

This edition of Fast Folk Musical Magazine features an eclectic mix of 13 songs: 12 vocals and one instrumental. The instrumental “Merci Monsieur Stephen Stills” is an homage to Stephen Stills by French guitarist extraordinaire Dan Ar Bras. Other musicians contributing performances on this recording include French folk singer Gabriel Yacoub (“Anna Perenna”), veteran folk singer Jack Hardy (“Elevator”), rising star Shawn Colvin (“No Friends to Me”), and Richard Meyer offering his interpretation of the presidential administration of Warren G. Harding in “The January Cold.” A 20-page facsimile of Fast Folk Musical Magazine is included with the recording.
