Fast Folk Musical Magazine (Vol. 5, No. 5) On the Banks of the Guadaloupe (The Kerrville Album)
Various Artists

Begun by veteran folksinger Jack Hardy as a music cooperative for folksingers and songwriters living in New York City, Fast Folk Musical Magazine was issued in both magazine and recording formats. In this edition, “On the Banks of the Guadaloupe,” the magazine travels to Kerrville, Texas, and presents highlights from the 1988 Kerrville Folk Music Festival. The collection features songs of history and family (“Cousin Henry”), of the longing for peace (“Spring Will Come”), stop-light entertainment (“Daddy’s Money”), a song about Texas (“Wind Blows Through West Texas”) and finding yourself (“Between the Lines”).
A 26-page facsimile of the magazine is included.
