Fast Folk Musical Magazine (Vol. 7, No. 7) Guerilla Recording
Various Artists

This edition of Fast Folk Musical Magazine, subtitled “Guerilla Recordings,” offers an eclectic collection of 15 singers and songs. Several regular Fast Folk performers (Richard Meyer and Wendy Beckerman) make appearances with new songs. They are joined by several first-time Fast Folk performers (Louise Taylor, Jack Licitra, and Millicent). Songs cover aspects of the human condition, from love (“The Green Dress,” “House Painting in America,” and “Another Chance at Bliss”) and loneliness (“Melancholy Views” and “Have You Forgotten?”) to dying (“Hole in the Sky”) and the perils of the daily commute (“Blow ’em Away”). The facsimile of the magazine is included.
