Fast Folk Musical Magazine (Feburary 1994, Vol. 7, No. 9) High Falls is a hamlet (population 627) located in Ulster County, about 100 miles north of New York City. It is also the home of Don and Sheryl Haynie, who are making their first appearance in Fast Folk Musical Magazine with “Common Ground.” Other first-time or relative newcomers to Fast Folk are Jabbering Trout (“The Dog They Call Special K”), Stuart Kabak and Trilogy (“Get a Life”), Monty Delaney (“I Was Not a Victim, I Was a Volunteer”), and Jack Licitra (“Gone Awhile”). They are surrounded by Fast Folk veterans Lisa McCormick (“Sex & Consequences”), The Nields (“This Happens Again and Again”), and Camille West (“The Viennese Drinking Song”). The facsimile of the magazine is included.
