Cham are the sacred Tibetan dances. They are performed for spiritual and psychic cleansing. Appa Cham refers to a cham for the father.The male dancers perform a part of the two hours dance play . It is danced by two dancers (father and son). The dancer wears a appa mask and holds a hunter’s bow; small bells are attached to his belt.
