Birds of Passage

Released in 2015 as one of the last albums put out by the Folk-Legacy label, George Stephens and Kathy Westra’s Birds of Passage is a work that could fit seamlessly into the label’s early collection of folk revival–era recordings. A collection of traditional and revival songs (featuring songwriting from the likes of Leon Rosselson, Archie Fisher, and more), Stephens’ and Westra’s performances are heartfelt and straightforward, demonstrating the persistent beauty of strong harmonies sung over fingerstyle guitar.
