Young Gcaleka boys and girls from Cizele Location, Idutywa District in South Africa, sing and clap as they dance the mtsotsho dance. They sing this song as the older people pass beer around. Later the older women join in the song that has a leader-chorus form. The boys and men provide deep, rhythmic wordless vocalizations (called eefing in North America) that are typical of the Gcaleka, as well as the Ngqika of South Africa.
