Mtsotsho and other dances from the Gcaleka of South Africa Pioneer collector, Hugh Tracey collected several dance songs from the Gcaleka culture group found in the Transkei, Eastern Cape Province of South Africa in 1957. The music often includes overlapping melody lines as well deep, rhythmic wordless vocalizations (called eefing in North America).
