This lesson is inspired by Alice Tsui’s children’s book titled We Are Golden 我们是金的. Through cross-cultural activities, students will be exposed to affirmations and how they can be used to support themselves and others during difficult times. While gaining exposure to this important social-emotional tool, students will engage with languages, instruments and music that celebrates Asian American heritage.
