Zagor is a ritual musical theater form of Goa. It is celebrated by the Gavdas of Tiswadi and Ponda. It is a night long performance to commemorate and worship the village deities in which actors sing, dance and act. It consists of a series of unconnected episodes, ranging from mythological to every day themes, called songas. This song is from the Songa entitled "Maloni." It is about a devoted flower girl who wakes up early to gather flowers in the garden. One day, a Malli (flower seller) sees the flower girl and tries to draw her attention towards him by telling her that he has wealth and position.
