Songs of Senegal

Singer–songwriter Ousmane M’Baye blends traditional African folk songs with original compositions in this album celebrating Senegal. M’Baye plays guitar and sings in Wolof, French, and Portuguese Creole, backed by female voices and a rhythm section of traditional Senegalese percussion. A teacher and world traveler, M’Baye wishes for unity among Senegalese, the English– and French–speaking world, and all of humanity. Liner notes include a biography, track notes by M’Baye, and lyrics in Wolof, English, and Portuguese Creole.
