Upright: Fugitive Piano Smasher from Fifty Second Street

Red Camp
Upright: Fugitive Piano Smasher from Fifty Second Street Red Camp, the self-proclaimed "fugitive piano smasher from 52nd Street," plays mad jazz piano on this 1955 release. Born in West Texas, he describes his music as being caught in the war between the "Moldy Figs" (jazz purists) and Be Boppers (a more modern style). On this album Camp is accompanied by Chet Rupe on guitar and Charlie Rupe on bass.
