This is a panwara (heroic ballad) about the life of Saruli Padhani, a female village leader. The song provides an illustration of the free-flowing duet between male Baddi and female Badin. The text is composed in two-line stanzas or dohas. It is also partly free-composed and does not follow a consistent phrase structure.
