The Taming of the Shrew: William Shakespeare

"Tis a wonder, by your leave, she will be tamed so." In this offering, the Shakespeare for Students Company performs the complete text of this late 16th-century romantic comedy The Taming of the Shrew. The Company was formed "to stimulate interest in the plays of William Shakespeare with the hope of deepening an appreciation for good theater and literature." The sound quality is very good, and the vocal performance is clear and well paced. A brief musical interlude (harpsichord) is placed between scenes. Liner notes include the text of the complete play.
