We've Got to Come Full Circle: Chesapeake Song and Story for Young Hearts

On this 1984 recording, Maryland-based singer-songwriters/storytellers Tom Wisner (1930–2010) and Teresa Whitaker offer a collection of mostly original material with the common theme of life and culture in the Chesapeake Bay area. Wisner writes in the introduction to the liner notes: “These songs and stories are about [humanity’s] relationship with the creatures, culture, water, land, and legend of the Chesapeake; we hope they will bring pleasure to the families [who listen to this album].” Wisner and Whitaker play guitar and sing, supported by bass player Frank Schwartz, banjo player Bill Caldwell, and six-year-old singer Jessica Boynton. Lyrics for all song tracks and biographies for the musicians are included in the handwritten liner notes.
