42 Lessons for Tabla

This music instruction recording from 1973 was the one of the first of its kind. Indian master musician Ustad Keramatullah Khan presents the basics of playing the tabla, the hand drums that form the rhythmic backbone of Indian classical music. The 42 lessons are grouped into six units and are accompanied by a 23-page booklet with numerous illustrations and explanations of the different playing techniques.
