Take the News to Mother
Take the News to Mother is a collection of sentimental songs, most of which date between the time of the Civil War to the turn of the century. Storm, a postal worker in Indianapolis, had learned most of his repertoire from his father, who had in turn learned it from his own father. This selection, performed with guitar and harmonica, present heartfelt and authentic renditions of songs - some quite rare - passed down from the end of the 19th century.
