Live at St. Mark's

Live at St. Marks is the only live recording of zydeco legend Clifton Chenier performing at a Creole dance in California for Louisiana migrants who had moved to seek better employment opportunities. With his Red Hot Louisiana Band, Chenier plays his unique brand of zydeco, fusing Creole, Cajun, and rhythm and blues music. True to the tradition of the dance hall, the band played for four hours straight, and the banter of the dance hall is alive between tracks.
