Live at St. Mark's

“Live at St. Marks” is the only live recording by Zydeco legend Clifton Chenier performing at a Creole dance for Louisiana migrants who had moved to California seeking better employment opportunities. Chenier, with his Red Hot Louisiana Band, plays his unique brand of Zydeco, fusing Creole, Cajun, and rhythm and blues. True to the tradition of the dance hall, the band played for four hours straight, and the banter of the dance hall can be heard between tracks.
