Clawhammer Banjo

Clawhammer, a right-hand plucking method of banjo playing, is the traditional style of the early Appalachian Mountain musicians. In Clawhammer Banjo, David Johnson continues this tradition, which he inherited and learned from his own grandfather growing up in western North Carolina. Here, Johnson plays traditional fiddle tunes and southern Appalachian melodies.
