Adam & Eve Had the Blues

Musicians Eric (guitars) and Suzy Thompson (fiddle, guitar, and vocals) have spent their musical career seeking out and performing old-time blues, Cajun, and country music. In this 1989 release, the Thompsons take us on a musical journey in search of Southern roots music. Along the way they find the blues (“Adam and Eve Had the Blues,” “In My Girlish Days,” and “Mean Old Bed Bug Blues”), some Cajun dance music (“Basile Waltz,” “Valse de Balfa,” and “Danse de Poullard”), and the gospel song “When I Get Home.” Mandolin player David Grisman sits in on three tracks.
