English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher Kay Hill and Cuba-born educator Bertha Cordova offer a collection of bilingual “counting out” rhymes which they often recite with students in their classes. The English-language rhymes, some of which are better known than others, originate mostly in the USA and Canada. The Spanish-language rhymes come from a variety of Spanish-speaking areas including Spain, Puerto Rico, and Central and South American countries. Lyrics in English and Spanish and a bibliography are included in the liner notes.
