Songs of Israel
Rakhel
Israeli artist Rakhel Hadass sings 27 songs drawn from Hebrew, Israeli, Arabic, Ladino, and Greek sources. The songs are a reflection of the rich musical culture of modern Israel, and Hadass moves gracefully between the different styles and languages with her clear soprano voice. She is accompanied by an instrumental ensemble composed of piano, accordion, flute, clarinet, guitar, cello, and percussion. A sampler edition of this album is available as Rakhel: Israeli, Yemenite, Ladino, Arabic and Greek Songs (MON00350).
