Willie's Lady
This is Folk-Legacy's first solo recording of Ray Fisher, sister of Archie Fisher and a member of the Scottish folk ensemble the Fisher Family. An important force in the Scottish folk scene of the 1950's and 60's, Fisher began a folk club at Glasgow's Jordanhill teacher's college where she hosted performances from Pete Seeger, The Dubliners, and The Clancy Brothers. On Willie's Lady, Fisher performs mostly traditional songs and ballads, accompanying herself on guitar.
