Steelband Promenade

Emory Cook recorded three of the top West Indian steelbands—Brute Force, The Southern All-Stars and the Merrymakers—under the stars, in a vegetable garden and from the cloakroom of Port-au-Spain's posh Hotel Normandie, respectively for this recording that is so authentic it comes complete with its own cricket noises. Despite the somewhat unusual and slightly awkward venues, these are highly listenable tunes.
