Play Me a Song: New Folksongs for Children

New York City–based performers Candy Band present a collection of original songs to be enjoyed by both children and adults. Singer-songwriters Julie North and Sarah Hollatz wrote all 12 songs in this collection. They are joined by three former members of Silversmith: Ed Packer, Jeff Beck, and Maurice O’Mahony. The band’s goal is to present children with music that has integrity and sensitivity. The group gives special thanks to Folkways Records for the opportunity to present their material in their own creative way. Lyrics for all songs are included in the liner notes.
