The Charles Ford Band
The Charles Ford Band, three brothers and a friend from Ukiah, California with extraordinary enthusiasm and energy, played gritty and accomplished urban blues at bars and clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area. These recordings made in early 1972 showcase a young Robben Ford, now considered an authentic guitar legend emulated and revered by a whole generation of young blues guitarists, backed by Pat Ford's dynamic drums, Mark Ford's gutsy and exhuberant harmonica and Stan Poplin's rock solid bass. The 1991 CD edition features four previously unreleased tracks not on the original LP also available.
