Around the World

On Around the World, beloved folk musician Tom Glazer invites young listeners on a wide-ranging musical journey in which they imagine taking various modes of travel to different regions of the world and using local styles of transport to explore the areas they reach. Recorded for Young People’s Records in 1948, this album encourages children to actively participate in each type of transport, using adjustments of rhythm and tempo to mimic the motion of ocean liners, camels, horses, trains, sleds, and elephants.
