Can't Nobody Do Me like Jesus

Can't Nobody Do Me like Jesus

Music is an essential element in Holiness-Pentecostal church services. In the Keith Dominion Holiness-Pentecostal churches, that music is often played on a steel guitar by Reverend Aubrey Ghent. Known for both his religious oratory and scared music (“doubly blessed,” in the words of his father), Reverend Ghent began playing the steel guitar in church at age nine. His musical performance credits include playing with gospel singers Shirley Caesar and Albertina Walker and appearing at national and international music festivals. On this recording, Reverend Ghent is joined by vocalists Lori Ghent and Tarlisha Barr, with Andy Furgeson on keyboards and Edward “Gary” Williams on drums, for a spirit-filled session of traditional gospel songs and preaching.
