African Politics: More Songs from Kenya

African Politics: More Songs From Kenya (1973) is a sequel to David Nzomo’s 1970 album African Rhythms: Songs From Kenya. Nzomo calls for African autonomy from the West and explores themes of colonization, justice, selfdetermination, and, ultimately, hope. Nzomo sings and plays guitar, backed by vocal harmonies and percussion. Liner notes include a political statement, musical transcription, lyrics, and track notes.
