Fast Folk Musical Magazine (Vol. 2, No. 2) Heroic Torso
Various Artists

Fast Folk Musical Magazine was established in the early 1980s to support and spotlight folk song writer/performers working primarily in the New York City area. This collection contains eleven new songs and the traditional English ballad “The Golden Vanity.” Standout tracks are “I Put the Road Down” by Bert Lee with Jack Kruth on mandolin, “Endless Highway” by Eric Wood on amplified acoustic and electric guitars, “Who Needs Times Square?” by Richard Meyer with Mark Dann on second guitar, and “Amazing Love” by Raun MacKinnon Burnham, who is accompanied by her husband Jeremiah Burnham on vocal and flute. A 20–page facsimile of the magazine complete with song lyrics is included in the liner notes.
