Fast Folk Musical Magazine (Vol. 5, No. 10) Live at the Bottom Line 1991
Various Artists

This edition of Fast Folk Musical Magazine draws performances from sessions recorded at the Bottom Line in Greenwich Village during February 1991. The selections feature many longtime Fast Folk performers (Jack Hardy, David Massengill, and Germana Pucci) and a (relative) newcomer (Wendy Beckerman). Song topics range from environmental issues (“Metal Drums”) and delivering messages (“The Courier”) to hanging out in a rock ’n’ roll bar (“The El Dorado Lounge”) and Norman Bates’ confession to his mother (“Norman”). Songwriter Julie Gold’s GRAMMY-winning song “From a Distance” closes the recording. A facsimile of the magazine is included.
