Get Down Home
The first release from singer-songwriter Jerry Rasmussen, Get Down Home is a collection of songs about life in the small towns of the upper Midwest. A "slice-of-life" record, Get Down Home describes county fairs, a childhood spent playing in clear rivers, and the rust-belt workers of the auto industry. While much of the album is made up of Rasmussen's gentle singing and guitar playing, he is also accompanied with vocal harmonies, banjo, and mandolin by Colin Healy, Mark Horvath, Jeff McHugh, and Caroline Paton.
